Back from the C dot
Helloo my studios fans,
Sorry to update for a while...exams + week off in cobourg = movies and laziness.
I just walked about 2 clicks with about 75lbs of gear. And now i'm friggin sore as heck and I gotta study for 5 exams. Massage offers are welcomed.
Now, on to the juice. Anybody out there now what grace is, or even better, where it came from? If not, it's what we get when we don't deserve it. So, the idea i'd like to throw out there tonight is where does it come from? Let's do this from first principles, shall we. In order for us to give something we usually have to get it oursevles first. Par example, courtesy. We are nice to others in hopes they will be nice in return. So where did it come from? Well, I'd say my parents taught me. So who taught them? More than likely their parents. So, let us trace this back as far as possible. If you come to the same fork that I come to, it leads down one road to a primate teaching the first person, or, you accept the idea of God and Creation. So, let's have common sense here, carnal animals, by nature, or at least what is scientifically found, know survival skills to hunt, make shelter, and get along with packs. I'm gonna go out on a limb and say there is probably some kind of courtesy involved in the lives of primates. But if we accept evolution then we also must continue to follow courtesy back to dinosaurs, and even primitive bacteria, and final back as far as possible to the darwinistic popular "primordial soup". The last time I had soup, it showed me no courtesy or grace as it burned my tongue and I swore at it. So what about the idea of Creation? It seems to support the claim for the passing of teachings. If you go farther down this path and accept the teachings of God, or the Holy Bible, it clearly outlines that grace comes from God. It also teaches those who believe to express grace and courtesy to everyone, including people who don't like them or don't know them. Sounds almost a little crazy eh? What's more crazy, an unknown number of amino acids showing up out of nowhere to form a "soup" which started all life, or something bigger and smarter than us passing down knowledge for the greater good of human kind.
If there is another train of thought which can support where grace comes from, I'd love to here it. But if you're going to tell me, please make sure you have some foundational opionions about it. And always, preach it from first principles...I don't want to hear the story when it's half over.

grace is a good thing, maybe even the best of things. and like all good things, it can be taken
advantage of and used with poor judgment. but yet somehow, it's sort of a deep knowing that God will never leave nor forsake no matter how much we fumble around and fuck things up. and that makes me want to cry because it's a kind of love that i have zero understanding of...i only need to accept it.
