Another friday

SO it's been raining here all friggin week. But today it just decided to get really cold with the occaisional tinkle here and there. Early morning chemistry class always ticks me off cause everything the prof says looks like ridiculous drawings of geometry with some leters thrown in. Makes you wonder if the current thought and conventions are really what the microscopic world looks like. I guess you could argue that machines such as NMR or Mass specs prove what is reallly out there but can we really rely on something that was designed by someone trying to prove that the theory that they have been indoctrinated with is correct? How bout carbon dating? It was invented to justify the age of "dinosaur" bones. Seems to be like the people inventing these devices which are supposed to validate current "understandings" are doing so on a complete bias to the answer they want to find. Being in science i'm told to take a non-objective point of view. Don't take anything at face value type thing. Don't get me started on the whole evolution scandal. That'll come another time. Here's my stance on the whole perception of the scientific world as we know it today: I know that we are here and there are diseases that cause people pain and suffering. I don't know exactly how they got here or what purpose they serve, but i'm in training to develope new ways to help people get better and feel comfortable. That's it. That doesn't have anything to do with dinosaurs, evolution, or the creation side of things. Now I do believe in creationism but once again, it'll come another time.

So i checked one of my midterm marks from last week. I was pretty sure i failed it with flying colours but when i saw my mark i was pleasantly surprised. To me a C+ isn't bad for thinking you failed a test miserably. I'll take it.

SO what about this Alexander movie? I find it funny that Hollywood has run out of ideas for movies recently. For example, after they overkilled war movies, they move on to super heros. Daredevil, spiderman, Hulk, X-men, to name a few. And most recently Troy. Now i'm always up for a good movie, Troy for example i thought was one of the best cinematography and use of filters i've seen ever; I may even go as far to say better than Lord of the Rings. I found that Brad Pitt had the appearance of Achilles pretty well down and now what's his name from SWAT is playing Alexander the great. Not as good a story as the battle of Troy i think. But he doesn't have the look needed i think. Unless they make him look super scary which i doubt they can.

And while i'm on the topic of overkill and overdoing things, does anyone else think it's funny that Osama came out with a new tape a week before the election. With Kerry bashing Bush about wasted money on Terrorism, which to me is as american made as wisconsin cheese, out pops the number 1 guy, Mr. Terrorism himself. I could say conspiracy but that word doesn't seem to fit the depth of things that i think is happening here.

So, recently i've been getting hooked on deluxe pizza pops and Kung Fu the legend continues reruns. Makes me wonder if there is a higher state of consciouness that allows someone to know that they can dodge bullets, grab flying knives, and kick the crap out of just about anyone blindfolded.

That's enough for today: It's time to plan my night.

Have a good one champs,
Bflex
