Time for a break
Been a busy week here in my cubicle of a room. My last midterm was yesterday. I've been studying since like last friday. Things took a turn for the better around friday around lunch for me. SO, after a long day of studying I felt pretty confident about it. I fell asleep around 7 or 8pm and woke up around 1am. I tried to get back to sleep but I couldn't so I stayed up for another few hours studying and playing Street Fighter. Around 6 or 7 I think I fell back asleep and tried to rest. Woke up again around 9. I have a shower and what not and go outside to get a bus. After about 15 minutes in the cold, AND I MEAN COLD, a stranger walks by and says there aren't any buses running on the street where I live. This is bloody marvelous. My options were to wait until 1 and get a bus to school, that would leave me less than an hour for the test which started at 12, or to get to the mall which is about 15 minutes down the street and get a bus there. I figure my body is already pretty much numb so I started walking and made it there in about 10 minutes. It's about 11:15 and the bus to school takes about 15 minutes. So i'm feeling alright now. So I get to school and talk to a few people who are really nervous. Anyway, long story short, the test wasn't that bad at all. Could have been a heck of a lot worse.
Saturday afternoon was uneventful. After some phonecalls and a big box of poutine I ran to 7/11 and got a big gulp and some orange juice. Saving Private Ryan was playing on my dvd player last night. There's no way to understand what the troops went through on D-day or any type of war at all. What would you do if you were in a boat knowing that your job was to run up a wide open beach while in plain site of fortified pill boxes? Or how bout flying in a pitch dark plane hearing explosions and gun fire, bullets coming through your plane and hitting the guy beside you, all knowing that you had to jump out of the plane where you could be easily picked off during the descent. If any vets read this, Thank You.
Now it's Sunday in the big city and The Cowboy Way is on City. Gotta do some laundry, sweep up, clean up the desk, and work on this wedding video which is an ongoing project. Time to check out.
