What would it be like if....
Ever wonder if this existence we inhabit is truly linear? I mean, what if there is another dimension that corresponds with the choices in life we don't choose. For example, I often wonder what my summer would be like in Ottawa if I chose to stay there. Would it be good financially? Would it be good spiritually? Cobourg isn't exactly the land of the good-hearted and charity minded people, but I guess that could be said about anywhere, really. But here's some happenings of the last two weeks of my life.
1. Parking at the beach parking lot where there is an entrance to the sand and using binoculars to check out girls from a distance.
2. Coming the closest I've been gang beating a coke dealer who thought myself and others drank his whiskey.
3. Playing computer games to fill in the time between after work and the next days work.
4. Getting addicted to milkshakes in hopes to see a friend of mine who works at the milkshake place.
5. Turning down a semi job offer in Ottawa because I didn't want the hassle of finding a place to live etc...
This summer seems so far to be a bunch of bad choices and missed opportunities.
On the upswing, I AM trying to get this Jiu-Jitsu thing going. I've got most of the tapes, just trying to find people to do it with me that are reliable and won't back out when I call them. I just ordered a microphone headset for my computer so I hope to be making some fresh rhymes which will be heard by all in the near future. And I'm gonna call a girl right now try to setup a coffee chillout time. I haven't seen her in awhile and there's just somethin about her that I find attractive. Hold on, I'll call her right now so I can report on it............Dialing.........so her mom picked up and said she wasn't home yet. I left a message. If no call back tonight I'll try again tomorrow. And continuing on the topic of girls, there was a young lady at church today who just moved to Cobourg. She is working at the hospital I think. Not too shabby if I do say so myself. We'll see what happens.
AND, if you're looking for a good Indie flick, check out Blackball. Pretty funny for a low budget independant. Really good writing. It's about lawn bowling, or 'bowls' as they call it. Good for a laugh. Vince Vaughn and James Cromwell are in it.
That'll be all for tonight. Maybe when we all wake up tomorrow we'll be faced with a decision which will create a ripple in the pond of destiny. Let us see who can make the biggest splash.

Hey Buck,
I sometimes wonder what my life would be like if I had made different choices along the way but then I always think of the people I would've missed out on meeting if I changed things. Make lots of ripples. :)

Whatever happens with the Jiu-Jitsu thing, don't try it on me. You've Kobayaed me before. I don't need to say I've been Jiu-Jitsued either.
And God only knows what you missed out on/spared yourself from by choosing to stay in Cobourg. You can't second guess yourself. You can just trust that whatever you are a part of now is exactly where you need to be.
